Lorene Feuling "Lori" Marien

A Mass celebrating the life of Lorene "Lori" Feuling Marien will be held at St. Felix Church, Wabasha, MN on Friday, May 29, 2015 at 11 AM with the Reverend Joseph LaPlante officiating. Lorene Feuling was born November 2, 1932 in Trempeleau County, WI. She was the eldest child of Leonard and Armilla (Doelle) Feuling. While in high school, her family moved to Kellogg, MN where she met and later married Duane "Dewey" Marien. Lori was an accomplished seamstress, upholsterer, gardener, cook and baker. Her cookies were legendary and were shared generously with family and friends. She also had a life-long love of music, having taught music at St. Felix School, and continued with piano lessons until a few weeks before her death. Lori is survived by 6 children: Leann (Steve) Kindom, Hudson, WI; Kathy (Robert) Abbott, Baton Rouge; Julie (Peter) Ketchum, St. Paul, MN; Niles (Mary Hanson) Marien, Woodville, WI; Blane Marien, Wabasha, MN; and Elise (John) Steger, Shakopee, MN. 11 grandchildren, including James Marien Abbott, Baton Rouge. A brother Lenus (Lavonne) Feuling and sister Romelle Feuling Vincek. Memorials may be sent to St. Felix School, 130 3rd St. E, Wabasha, MN 55981.
