Jack Parker Jr.

Jack Sisloff "J.S." Parker Jr., of St. Augustine, Florida, died Jan. 11.

Born Aug. 24, 1952, in New Orleans, he was firstborn of Jack and Nigel Parker of St. Simons Island.

He held numerous degrees, the last a master's degree from University of North Florida.

Jack, who had retired after a long career in information technology, is survived by his wife of 33 years, Melody; son, J.J.; son and fiancée, Jack III and Colleen; daughter, Melissa; brother, Brian and sister-in-law, Aida, all of Jacksonville; brother and sister-in-law, Lindsey and Lori of Brunswick; brother and sister-in-law, Bart and Beth of Lilburn; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and brother Alan.

He was a member of Faith Community Church of St. Augustine.

He will be missed by all who knew him.

Family, church family and friends gathered around him before his passing.

His family suggests donations to your favorite charity. His were Special Olympics and Doctors Without Borders.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, Jan. 18 at Faith Community Church, 3450 County Road 210, West St. Johns, Florida, with visitation at 10 a.m., followed by the memorial service at 11 a.m.
