Doris Clark Obituary

MANSFIELD

Doris G. Clark, 96, wife of the late Earl W. Clark, passed

away peacefully on May 31, 2024, at Douglas Manor where she had been a resident for the past 3 years. She was a former resident of Mansfield. Doris was born on July 1, 1927, in Willimantic, Connecticut, the daughter of the late John and Louise (Tessier) Handfield. She attended St. Mary's School in Willimantic and the Academy of the Holy Family in Baltic. She worked at Electro-Motive and retired from Windham Hospital as a supervisor of housekeeping.

Doris was predeceased by her husband, Earl W. Clark, sister, Helen Deschenes, twin brother, Francis, and brother, Robert, her nephews, George and Laurent Deschenes and John Handfield. She is survived by her loving nephews, Francis (Gerry), James, Philip, Charles and Richard Handfield and loving nieces, Carol Valone, Betty Kasacek, Gail Hill, Donna Bongiovanni, and Sheree Rondeau.

There are no calling hours. Doris' Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, June 14, 2024 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Mary Church, 46 Valley Street, Willimantic, with burial to follow at St. Joseph Cemetery, Windham.
