Arlene Vacco Obituary
Born October 2, 1944, in Universal, Pa., she was the daughter of the late Neil and Arlene (Cunningham) Sahene.
In 1969, she married Bart C. Vacco in Pittsburgh. He preceded her in death in January of 2000.
Arlene was a homemaker and a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church. She enjoyed antique collecting, painting, and refinishing wooden furniture.
She is survived by a son, John B. (Tracey) Vacco of Hopewell, Pa.; two daughters, Jennifer Lynn (Danny) Vacco-Caine of DuBois, Lisa Marie Vacco-Hampsey, of North Carolina; a grandchild, Jeremiah Vacco; a brother, Tom (Deb) Sahene of Butler; three sisters, Debra (Joe) Seebacher of Cranberry, Pam Sahene- Davis of DuBois, and Dot (Howard) Sahene- Alter of Meadville; as well as several nieces and nephews.
Arlene was preceded in death by her parents and husband.
Friends and family will be received Tuesday, July 24th from 2 – 4 and 6 – 8 p.m. at the Adamson Funeral Chapel, Inc., DuBois. A scriptural wake service will be held Tuesday at 1:30 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Joseph's Catholic Church on Wednesday, July 25, 2018 at 10 a.m. with the Msgr. Richard Siefer officiating. Interment will take place in St. Joseph Cemetery.
Memorial donations may be made in Arlene's name to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, P.O. Box 1000, Memphis, TN 38101.
