Maria D. Guerrero, 80, of New Castle passed away Friday November 11, 2022. She was born on January 28, 1943 in Hidalgo, TX to the late Jose and Sipriana (Ayala) Guerrero.
She retired from Ball State University where she worked in food service for 20 years. Maria also worked for Henry Community Health for almost 20 years. She was a member of St. Anne Catholic Church for many years. Maria enjoyed sewing and her specialties were knitting and cooking.
Maria is survived by her siblings, Maria Santos (Eusebio) Munoz, Gloria (Mike) Davis, Alicia (Sebel) Ledesma, Anita Emmons, Jose (Loretta) Guerrero and Rene (Kay) Guerrero; along with many nieces nephews and grand nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents Maria is preceded in death by her sisters, Maria Guadalupe Ayala and Beatrice Loya.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11:00 A.M. on Wednesday November 16, 2022 at St. Anne Catholic Church will Father John Hall officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. Summit Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. on Tuesday November 15th at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service New Castle.
