Anderson Sotomayor Obituary
AGE: 50 • Vineland
Anderson "Papo" Sotomayor, age 50 of Vineland, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, August 19, 2017 at home.
Papo was born and raised in Vineland, NJ to Nelida (Ruiz) and the late Illuminado Sotomayor, where he remained a lifelong resident. He graduated from Vineland High School with the Class of 1986, he later attended Cumberland County College and earned his Black Seal degree in HVAC Mechanical Industry. Papo worked at the Sands Casino as a slot attendant for over 5 years and was recently employed by the Cumberland County Court House, and by the Emergency Medical Transportation of Cumberland County. He enjoyed music and social events with his family and friends.
He was predeceased by his father, Illuminado Sotomayor in 2004.
Papo is survived by his loving mother, Nelida Ruiz of Vineland. His 2 sisters; Damaris Sotomayor of Spring Hill, FL. and Neida Sotomayor-Marquez and husband Tony of Vineland. His 3 brothers; Elvin Reyes, Leo Muriente and wife Yvette and Carliston Sotomayor, all of Vineland. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins, including 2 special nephews; Feliz Lopez and Alvis Afanador Jr.
The funeral service will be held on Friday, August 25th at 9:00 am at the Wainwright-Bernhardt Funeral Home, 1024 E. Landis Ave. Vineland. Interment will be in Siloam Cemetery. Family and friends may gather on Friday from 8:00 - 9:00 am.
