James Joyce Obituary

James Charles Joyce James Charles Joyce entered into rest September 20, 2023 at his home in Maryville. Born in Maryville on May 21, 2008, he was the beloved son of Michael and Sarah Joyce and brother of Marya Joyce. A sophomore at William Blount High School, James enjoyed skateboarding, long walks in the woods, fishing with his friends, playing guitar, and running track, in which his favorite events were the hundred meter and long jump. He loved his dogs, Dixie and Bear, and was passionate about music. In addition to his parents and sister, James is survived by his grandmothers Jane Kilgo and Janet Powell, uncles John Kilgo (Suzi) and Jeremy Joyce (Cortney), aunt Ann Kilgo, and cousins Caroline Kilgo, Charlee and Julia Joyce, and Lucia and Claudio Meschiari. He is preceded in death by his maternal grandfather James Kilgo and paternal grandfather Charles Joyce. A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, September 30, 2023 at 3:00pm at Grandview Pavilion (2316 Graves Road, Maryville, TN 37803). All friends and family are invited.
