Dolores Teresa Sheehan

1929 - 2022

New London - Dolores Teresa (DeMarco), Sheehan, 92, of New London, passed April 21, 2022. She was born Nov. 1, 1929, the daughter of the late Mary and Antonio DeMarco. She was also predeceased by her husband Robert E. Sheehan; sisters, Sarah Cooney, Ann Bernacki and Josephine Esposito; and her brother Ernest DeMarco.

She is survived by sisters, Lorraine Basilica of New London, Joan Falconi and Beverly Christensen of Quaker Hill; sisters-in-law, Eleanor Sheehan Fritz and Maureen Sheehan; as well as many nieces and nephews.

She graduated from Williams Memorial Institute, Class of 1947. She worked for over 40 years with Montgomery Ward, and also owned and operated Captain's Treasures Antiques in New London.

Visiting hours will be held from 9 to 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, April 27, at Impellitteri-Malia Funeral Home, 84 Montauk Avenue, New London. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, April 27, in St. Joseph Church, New London. Burial will follow at St. Mary Cemetery, New London. Donations in her memory may be made to the New London Public Library.
