Harold Ramus Obituary
Born on March 7, 1965. He was the son of Margaret Ramus and the lLate Harold "Iggy" Ramus. Paul loved baseball and coached for a few years for the National Little League at Mitchell Woods where he practically grew up. He watched his brothers play and his dad umpire, while his mom was in the concession stand serving her famous meatball grinders. When Paul finally reached the age of nine and was eligible to play, he was so excited. His love for the game didn't end there as years later he returned to coach the same team that his uncles Tony and Walt coached. Paul held many different interests the latest was boating and fishing. Paul lived most of his life in New London and recently moved to Maine.
He leaves to cherish his memory a daughter, Katie l. Ramus of Maine, and a granddaughter, Evangelina Lynn Griffin, who was his pride and joy. He is also survived by his sisters, Toni-Lynn Attwater and husband, Chris, Rene Muehlberger and husband, Robert, Barbara R. Major and husband, Tommie; and a brother, Thomas Ramus and his wife, Ivette. He also leaves many nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by a brother, Gary P. Ramus.
The family will receive guests at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Jan. 19, 2013, at the Impellitterii-Malia Funeral Home, 84 Montauk Ave., New London. A memorial service will follow at 11 a.m. Burial will be private.
A leaf has fallen but the tree lives on.

Katie, We are so sad for the loss of your dad! I loved him him very much. We shared a lot of fun memories as teenagers & were thrilled when our beautiful daughters became friends. I feel a huge loss in my life knowing he is no longer with us. My sister Beverly (in Virginia) sends her sympathy & love to you & your family. She always adored Paul. I remember how angry I was when they dated because I had a mad crush on him. He was a great man. He will be sadly missed by everyone who knew him. With love

Paul,So sad your life ended too soon.We hung out for ten plus years. Playng little league,Babe Ruth,Street Hockey,Harbor School& Indian Rock at Mitchell Woods. You had the admiration of all the girls in the neighborhood. School street was blessed with a lively crew of kids (4 Koteckis, 6 Brennans,3 Alloways,2 Kinasals,2 Heaps,2 Grahmes 5 Skinners & 6 Ramuses)all made for coloful memories. One of my fondest memories was attending a Red Sox/ A's game at Fenway Park with you and my brother Ben. Billy Martin(who managed the Oakland then) got thrown out of the game and he had to be restrained. I remember when your Mom remodeled the upstirs and Tommy made an apartment you got moved to another room.You were so bummed!!! Although I remember more partying as kids it should not be overlooked how good of a left hand hitter you were. I always remember line drives screaming off your bat. One thing.... all the Ramus boys were great ballplayers!!! Thanks for all the laughter,games and memories. i was lucky to have you as a friend. God Bless You & your family
