Lucy Gualtieri Obituary
She was the loving wife of Albert Gualtieri for 66 years who predeceased her. She was the daughter of the late Emilio and Theresa Pellegrini.
She was born in Sora, Italy and traveling to the United States at the age of 4 in March 1930, entering Brooklyn, New York and settling on Franklin Street, Norwich, within the Italian Community.
She was a homemaker for the better part of her life working for a brief time for Majestic Trousers in Norwich as a seamstress.
She enjoyed family, especially spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, attending their different activities including graduations, sporting events, vacations at the beach, traveling, gardening, cooking, passing down her favorite recipes to her daughters, daughter-in-law, and granddaughters.
She was predeceased by her son Albert.
She is survived by her son, Michael P. Gualtieri and his wife Stacey of Norwich; her daughters, Theresa Gualtieri of Norwich, Antoinette McNally and her husband Dan of West Hartford and Mary Ellen Martin of Uncasville; her grandchildren, Erin Asselin and her husband Brian, Megan Speich and her husband Joe, Gabrielle Gualtieri, Vincent Gualtieri and Anthony Martin; and her great-grandchildren, Andrew and Sammy Speich, Oliver and Ava Asselin.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11 a.m. Friday, Dec. 2, 2022, at Sacred Heart Church, 52 West Town St., Norwich with burial to follow at St. Joseph Cemetery.
Memorial donations may be made to the American Heart Association or Hospice.

Terry ,Antonette, Mary and Michael and all the family, I am so sorry to hear about Lucy. She was a Wonderful friend and I always enjoyed her when Terry brought her in to get her hair done. I have to give so much credit to Terry, as she took Amazing care of Her Mom and I know Lucy really Loved all her beautiful family. I am sure she is reunited with Al and at Peace. I have so many beautiful memories of this kind and loving lady! I always looked forward to sharing the pew with her and Theresa at Saints Peter and Paul early Sunday morning mass. My prayers go out to the entire family on your loss - heaven has most definitely gained another angel!!
