Paul Rodman Obituary

Preston - Paul J. Rodman Sr., 45, of Preston, died Wednesday afternoon, Aug. 1, 2007, while working.

Born in West Hartford on Aug. 6, 1961, he was the son of Frederick and Arlene (Christensen) Rodman of Preston. He was a graduate of St. Bernard High School. Paul was a self-employed contractor and was a member of the Polish-Italian Club of New London.

Surviving are his parents; four sons, Paul "PJ" Rodman Jr., of Ledyard, and Christopher Rodman, Andrew Rodman and Jeffery Rodman all of Preston; two grandchildren, Gavin Rodman and Nolan Rodman; a sister, Cynthia Coope, of Norwich; maternal grandmother, Adelia Wolverton, of Mystic; and several cherished aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Visiting hours will be held on Sunday from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Labenski Funeral Home, 107 Boswell Ave., Norwich. A Funeral Service will be held on Monday at 11:30 a.m. at St. James Church, Rte 2A, Preston; there is no processional leaving from the funeral home. Burial to follow in Poquetanuck Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations in Paul's memory may be made to either St. James Church, 95 Rte. 2A, Preston, CT 06365 or St. Bernard High School, 1593 Norwich-New London Tpke., Uncasville, CT 06382.

Paul was a member of our Polish Veterans Club, he recently helped us remodle our back hall. Last sunday he was there with his aunt and grandmother. He was so happy they were there with him. That will be a fond memorie.
