Betty Jean Hawley

Betty Jean Hawley, 70, of Bermuda Dunes, Calif. passed away January 7, 2012 in Bermuda Dunes, Calif. of cancer. She was born November 20, 1941 to William Epler and Ruth Fifer in Los Angeles, Calif. She married David Hawley on December 28, 1961 in Las Vegas, Nev. She was a wife, mother and homemaker for 50 years. She was a member of the Woman's Golf Association. She is survived by her husband, Dave Hawley of Bermuda Dunes, Calif.; her daughters, Shelly McDowell and Kathy Voss; her sisters, Viola Shepherd and Kitty Harris, both of Elverta, Calif.; two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Memorial services to be announced. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to The Living Desert.
