Bobby Hall Obituary
Bobby Ray Hall, 53, of Bryan, Texas, passed away on Tuesday, October 27, 2009, at St. Joseph Regional Health Center.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Friday at Jones-Washington Mortuary.
Services are set for 2:30 p.m. Saturday, October 31, 2009, at United Full Gospel Baptist Church with the Bishop J C. Ebbs officiating.
Bobby was born on December 27, 1955, in Hearne, Texas to Norris and Doris Hall. He graduated from Blackshear High School.
Bobby was a wonderful man with a great big heart. He cherished his family and friends. Children seemed to sense his big heart and they were drawn to him and he to them.
Bobby loved music, especially Blues music. He was a musician and played the guitar and blues harp. He formed his own band, Bobby Hall and the Ice Cold Blues Band. They played both locally and out of town venues.
He enjoyed gardening and fishing when he could, but his greatest joy was his family and friends.
Bobby will be missed deeply by his family and every one that knew him.
His parents preceded him in death.
Survivors include his beloved wife of 20 years, Kathleen Hall; his daughters, Danielle Legg, Amy Summers; brothers, Norris Hall and Evelyn, Michael Wayne Hall, Stanford Hall and Bobbie and Alvis Hall and Nicky; sisters, Ruby Johnson and Wayne, Beverly Williams and Floyd, Linda Fields and Stanley, Patricia Moore and Parker and Gloria Hall; grandchildren, Brian Legg Jr., Kaitlyn Legg, Matthew Legg and Kaci Summers; nieces, nephews, other family and numerous dear friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Kidney Foundation.
Arrangements are in the care of Jones-Washington Mortuary.

Bobby Hall... You have been a friend of mine since we were 14 years of age. The group we ran with insisted on having fun and we did exactly that in those younger years. You watched my back many times and helped to keep me from making some real dumb decisions. You were always there for me. As we got older, we might not see each other often at all, but when we did it was like we had seen each other last week. I loved your music, but your spirit is what amazed me. I was/am proud to be your friend. Who would know that years later Bobby would be working and met my daughter, Monica. She didn't know you or you her. It was funny that day we all ran into each other and for Bobby to find out she was my daughter. Monica and Bobby had a great friendship. Bobby loved all and never met a stranger.

We are sorry for your loss. Bobby was a good friend of my husband and I was introduced to him and his talent & gift for blues music quite a few years ago. He was AWESOME… May you all find comfort in GOD during this tough time...God Bless You All...

My condolences to the entire Hall family. I have many fond memories of Bobby whenever I came to visit the Halls in Texas. His smile, his love of music, and his big heart are what I remember most. May he rest in peace and may his memories live on forever.

To Bobby Hall Family and The Ice Cold Blues Band. I am so sorry to hear of the passing of a friend I never met in person. It was always a pleasure to talk to you on the phone at KEOS. You always made me feel special when you called into the Sunday Blues, expressed your enjoyment of the program and requested some Albert Collins.

I first met Bobby when he started working one summer for Dr. Lopez at the USDA. He was a very nice good hearted person. He was always talking about his music and starting a band. Throughout the years I would run in to him at the grocery store and he was always smiling. May you rest in peace my friend Bobby. My sincere condelences to his family. Gloria
