In her early years, Dee worked as a church secretary and at a clothing store, but for the majority of her life, she was a homemaker. Dee loved all things Hallmark and spent many days running down ornaments that went on sale after Christmas making sure all of the different series she started for each family member were fulfilled. Dee was a collector at heart including Hallmark ornaments, wooden boxes, buttons, and match books.
Dee loved indoor plants and had many to "keep the oxygen flowing throughout the house!" She bowled in the Newcomers Bowling League for many, years in Terre Haute, Indiana. Dee also enjoyed needlework, knitting and cross-stitch. Dee enjoyed reading, playing cards and all kinds of puzzles. Most of all, Dee enjoyed spending time with family, especially spending the holidays together playing with the grands and great grandchildren. She will be missed terribly by all.
She was a member of the Central Church of Christ in Bryan, TX. She loved the Lord and put on Christ in baptism at the age of 86. We take great comfort knowing she is with the Lord.
