Oran Britton Obituary
Oran W. Britton 61, of Bryan, went to be with his heavenly father on Friday, August 27, 2010, surrounded by his family, at St. Joseph Regional Health Center in Bryan. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Sunday, August 29 at Hillier Funeral Home in Bryan. A funeral service is set for 10 a.m. Monday, August 30 at the funeral home, with interment to follow in Rest Ever Cemetery.
Oran was born September 17, 1948 in Bryan to Bryce and Sybil Britton. He served his county in the Army in Vietnam as a Crew Chief on the Huey Helicopter. After fulfilling his military service obligations, he began a career as an appliance repair professional. Oran loved spending time with his family and especially enjoyed supporting his great nephews and great niece in their actives. He was a soft spoken, patient and kind soul. He was always ready to help family and friends with their "fix-it" needs.
He was preceded in death by his father, Bryce O. Britton.
Oran is survived by his mother, Sybil Britton of Bryan; sister, Sondra Mitchell of Missouri City, Texas; nephew, Richard Mitchell of Missouri City; niece, Marcy Cashion and husband, James Cashion of Missouri City; beloved great-nephews, Mitchell Cashion and Patrick Cashion; great-niece, Claire Cashion, all of Missouri City; brother-in-law, Morris Mitchell of Missouri City; and special friends, Robert and Debbie Coburn, Carrol Michael and Linda Loup.
Memorial may be made to Hillcrest Baptist Church, 4220 Boonville Road, Bryan TX 77802
