My heart is broken, even more so that I cannot attend the services today. My one abiding memory of Jan was her kindness. From my earliest years Aunt Jan, was always a blessing, comfort and a joy to be with. I know because of her faith and love of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ she now rests easy with all her family who have gone before her. You are so missed already, Rest In Peace, until we meet again...

Loved Aunt Jan and visiting her in Cedar Rapids. Some of my favorite memories. Here are some pictures of the last time I got to see her at Joyce Klein's (sister-in-law) 80th Birthday party.

I worked with Janice in the Savings Department of Perpetual Savings and truly, the best boss one could have. Always willing to listen, sort out solutions and still have a sense of humor. She was a loyal employee and when mergers happened, she was the keeper of the historical pieces of Perpetual. A kind, kind lady and will be missed. Unfortunately, I will not be able to attend the services due to being out of state on Nov. 7, but will be thinking of the family and will miss seeing our Perpetual "families" who do attend.

My sister, Deb (who worked with Janice at Perpetual) used to walk by Janice's house when she lived on Ellis. We would often stop to chat if we saw her outside. She always welcomed us into her home and was so nice. I remember seeing her bear collection- holy cow! I'm so very sorry for your loss. Prayers for your family - she was a great lady.

I am sorry for your loss. I worked at Perpetual Savings in the Iowa City Branch for about 18 years and had the opportunity to meet, train and work with her on many occasions. She was such a delightful person and a great cook! Many of her recipes were published in the Friends of Perpetual Cookbook! She always spoke so fondly of her family.

Jan was a dear friend. We shared many lunches, before and after retirement, and every luncheon included some good belly laughs. What fun she was. I will miss her.

I had the honor of working with Janice from 1993 through 1998 when Perpetual Bank as sold. She was one of the pillars of that institution. Balanced, hard working, loyal and always willing to help anyone. A unique woman who gave the gift of listening and understanding to all who met her. RIP Janice.

Sorry to hear of the passing of Janice Klein. Jan was a good neighbor and friend of my family and I will always remember growing up on Ellis Blvd near the Klein family. RIP. Dave and Lynn Lauer.
