Patricia Jane David Lawrence, 74, of Hartwell, passed away Saturday, December 10, 2022, at St. Mary's Hospital in Athens, Ga.
Born on March 7, 1948, on a farm in Trough Creek Valley, Pa., she was the daughter of the late Clyde Leroy David and Verna Mildred Black David. After raising her children, she went onto to pursue her college degree, graduating from York College with a Bachelor of Science degree in Sociology. Pat was a retired social worker working with handicapped adults, a job she truly enjoyed doing. She was a member of the Mt. Olivet Baptist Church, WMU, and Forever Young Group. She was also the President of AARP Chapter #2006.
Pat (Patty, Mom, Gammie, Grandma, Knitting Nana) is survived by three sons; two daughters; nine grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; four sisters; and numerous other family members. She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Ronald Franklin Lawrence; and one brother.
The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. Friday, December 16, at the Mt. Olivet Baptist Church. Other times the family will be at their respective homes.
A memorial service celebrating her life will be held at noon on Friday, December 16, at the Mt. Olivet Baptist Church with the Rev. Jason Webb officiating.
