Robert Valiska Obituary
Robert A. Valiska Jr., age 47, a resident of New Lenox, passed away on Monday, September 17, 2018.
Beloved husband of Laurie (Krause); loving father of Sydney Amber Valiska, Robert Andrew Valiska III, and Kaitlyn Rose Valiska; dear son of Robert A. Sr. and Lyn Valiska (Hunt); cherished brother of Ken (Kathy) Valiska; fond son-in-law of Maureen and the late John Krause and brother-in-law of Terry Krause; treasured uncle of Kyle, Andrew, and Kyra Valiska.
Robert was preceded in death by is first wife, Georgia Valiska (Doszak).
Robert was a math teacher, and basketball and mathletes coach at Hillcrest High school in Country Club Hills. He was actively involved in IJGA Association and Green Garden Country Club. He was an extremely proud Golf and Soccer Dad and Coached the Squirrels Soccer team. Robert enjoyed traveling and vacationing with his family and playing cards.
The family will receive friends at Kurtz Memorial Chapel, 102 E. Francis Rd., New Lenox, IL 60451 on Friday, September 21, 2018 from 3:00 to 8:00 PM. Funeral service Saturday, September 22, 2018 with chapel prayers at 9:30 AM to St. Jude Catholic Church, 241 W. 2nd Ave., New Lenox, IL 60451 for a 10:00 AM Mass of Christian Burial. Interment private.
In lieu of flowers, donations to Joliet Area Community Hospice, 250 Water Stone Circle, Joliet, IL 60431 would be appreciated.
