Brune Pelle

Bruno Pelle, age 83, beloved husband to Maria Zappia Pelle for 58 years, passed away on September 27, 2015 in Norwalk Hospital surrounded by his family. He was born on January 28, 1932 in Reggio di Calabria, Italy and was a son to the late Giuseppe Pelle and Carmela Filippone Pelle. Bruno and his wife married on August 7, 1957. Bruno came to America in 1977 and worked at SWANK Factory in Norwalk for more than 20 years. He enjoyed making homemade wine, sausage, and hot peppers and loved to share them with his family and friends. His favorite past time was growing his vegetable garden. Bruno was a very hard worker and a simple, quiet man who loved to spend time with his sons and grandchildren; he was a family man. Survivors, in addition to his loving wife, include two sons Nicola Pelle and his wife Deanna Pelle of Greenwich, CT and Salvatore Pelle of Norwalk, CT; his four grandchildren Elizabeth, Nicole and Sofia of Greenwich, CT and Salvatore Jr. of Meriden, CT; his two siblings Emma and Pietro and several nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by a sister Rose and a son Giuseppe. Friends are invited to greet the family on Wednesday, September 30, 2015 from 4:00 to 8:00 pm in Norwalk’s Hoyt-Cognetta Funeral Home & Crematory, 5 East Wall Street. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, October 1, 2015 10:00 am in St. Matthews Church. Entombment will follow at St. John’s Mausoleum, Norwalk.
