Andrew Denton Obituary



WOOD RIVER, Andrew J. Denton, 53, of Wood River, formerly of Beaver City, died Wednesday, May 6, 2009, at University Medical Center in Omaha.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at First United Methodist Church in Beaver City, with the Revs. Robert E. Berlie Sr. and Jerry Cummings officiating. Burial will be in Mount Hope Cemetery in Beaver City, with military honors at graveside by Veterans Organizations of Beaver City.

Visitation will be from 1 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Wenburg Funeral Home in Beaver City and prior to services Monday at the church.

Mr. Denton was born April 2, 1956, at Bristol, Pa., to Osberne Jr. and Clara (Paprzycki) Denton.

Survivors of the immediate family include his wife, Theresa of Wood River; his mother and stepfather, Clara and Louis Staski of Youngtown, Ariz.; a son, John Denton of Holdrege; two daughters and sons-in-law, Naomi and Jason Sherpherd of Wood River and Sarah and Calvin Pemberton of Beaver City; two brothers and a sister-in-law, Robert and Karen Denton and Frank Denton, all of St. Peters, Mo.; and two sisters and brothers-in-law, Teresa and Rubin Feldman of Oxford and Trish and Stephen Reed of Fairbury, N.Y.
