Dorothea Roggy Obituary
GRETNA - Dorothea "Dottie" Roggy, 82, of Gretna died Wednesday, Aug. 19, 2009.
Memorial services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at SilverRidge in Gretna. Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Westlawn Memorial Cemetery Grand Island. Roeder Mortuary, Inc. of Gretna is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Roggy was born May 16, 1927.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert B. "Bob" Roggy.
Survivors of the immediate family include a daughter and son-in-law, Victoria and Don Showell of Omaha; a son, Robert C. Roggy of Oklahoma; and a sister and brother-in-law, Diana and William Walters.
Additional survivors include grandchildren, Douglas (Vern) Showell, Wendi Showell, Teresa Roggy, Renee (Ray) Weber; great-grandchildren, Brandon, Colin and Andrew Weber, Jesse and Zach Haley, Davis & Teah Showell; nieces, nephews other family and friends.
She was also preceded in death by parents, Henry and Evalene Wright, granddaughter, Cindy Jarman, great-grandchildren, Tanya and Timmy Jarman, sister and brother-In-law, Deloris and Ronald Fitzke.
In lieu of flowers, memorials to New Hearts Transplant Support Group, c/o S Kramer, 7005 S. 74th St. Unit 208, LaVista, NE 68128.

Although there will be a terrible void without Aunt Dottie, what a Blessing she did not have to suffer any longer nor end up in a Nursing Home. She was a tough lady and died with those she loved most at her side.
I am glad we got to spend some time with her before she passed, she was a very special person and memories of her will forever be in my heart.
Again I will say "Heaven is a very Lucky place to have opened it doors to such a loving and deserving person".

My thought and prayers are with you in this time of grief. I met Dottie at SilverRidge and she was a blessing to care for. Dottie was very loving & caring and will be greatly missed!
