Ronald "Ron" Beck

1943 - 2021

Ronald "Ron" F. Beck, 78, of Grand Island, passed away Monday, Nov. 22, 2021.
Visitation will be 4-6 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 28, at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church with a 6 p.m. vigil service.
Mass of Christian burial will be 10:30 a.m. Monday, Nov. 29, at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church. Celebrant will be Father Marty Egging.
All Faiths Funeral Home is entrusted with arrangements. Memorials are suggested to the family.
Ron was born July 28, 1943, in Grand Island, son of Walter "Walt" and Frances (Zywiec) Beck. Ron grew up on rural farms near Central City. He graduated from Central City High School in 1961. He went on to attend two years at University of Nebraska at Lincoln.
On Oct. 2, 1965, he married Georgia Johnson. They made their home in Grand Island where they built a life they loved. Ron was employed for Wilson Concrete before beginning employment with the telephone company.
For over 35 years Ron worked as a tollman through all of the changes and different companies that served the Grand Island area.
Ron enjoyed many hobbies and looked forward to spending time with his grandsons. He was a skilled woodworker and embraced nature through photography. He won many awards for his nature photography and was featured on Pinnacle Bank calendar. There could be difficult times in life for Ron but he held true to his humor.
He is survived by his wife, Georgia; children, Steve (Mari) Beck of Kearney and Jennifer (Bill) Sinnard of Lincoln; grandsons, Drew Sinnard, Jaxson Beck and Jacob Beck; sisters, Linda Eoff and Charrise Beck, both of Omaha; along with numerous extended family and friends.
Ron was preceded in death by his parents; and brother-in-law, Brad Eoff.
