Eric Wright Obituary
Trumansburg - Eric Michael Wright of Trumansburg passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, June 13, 2021 at the age of 40 due to a severe asthma attack.Eric was born on April 29, 1981 in Ithaca. He was very mechanically inclined and could fix and build anything. Every Friday night Eric could be found at Starlight Speedway racing his #4E dirt track car. This became a weekly family outing, almost always ending in Eric taking home the first place trophy. He was a music lover, enjoying everything from country to rock and roll. More than anything, Eric loved his kids and was a devoted father. Eric is survived by his children, Kaylee, Lily, and Blake Wright; parents, Carol Vorhis and David "Mike" Wright; paternal grandmother, Sue Wright; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins. He was preceded in death by maternal grandparents, Frank and Virginia Vorhis; paternal grandfather, Harold Wright; and brother, Travis Vorhis. A Graveside Service will be held at 11:00am on Wednesday, June 23, 2021 at Grove Cemetery in Trumansburg. In lieu of flowers, the family asks those that would like to make a contribution in Eric's memory to kindly consider the Eric Wright Children's Fund: check made payable to Carol Vorhis, 3506 Halls Corners Road, Interlaken, NY 14847. Was saddened and shocked about Eric's passing. Although I didn't know him, I knew his brother Travis Vorhis parents Mike Wright and Carol Vorhis. To lose 2 son's is heartbreaking. Love and prayers to his family and friends.
