Irene Clanton Obituary

Mrs. Irene Marie Schweizer Clanton, 83, passed away Friday, March 15, 2013, at her home. She was born May 15, 1929, in Platting, Germany and was a daughter of the late Alois and Hilda Schweizer. Mrs. Clanton was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend. She is survived by her husband, Robert Ray Clanton of Lancaster; a son, Perry Clanton and his wife, Donna, of Lancaster; two grandchildren, Robbie Clanton and Matthew Clanton, both of Lancaster. She was preceded in death by a sister, Hilda. The celebration of life services of Mrs. Clanton were 11 a.m. Monday, March 18, at the Chapel of Lancaster Funeral Home, officiated by the Rev. Cliff Henson, with burial in Lancaster Memorial Park. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association, 222 S. Church St., Ste. 303, Charlotte, NC 28202.
