Later in life, his greatest pleasure was watching his grandchildren play sports.

Dear Marlene and family, I am so sorry to hear about Monk's passing. I will always remember him as one of the best coaches and person in my life. He taught me and anyone he coached how to handle the wins and loses in our young years and those carried on as we became men. I know he will be missed by every one he coached in Lancaster.

I was very sorry about Jack's passing. To me, it was unexpected.

He was a great fellow and a one-of-a-kind character. He will be missed at home, at church, and throughout the Lancaster community.

Donna and I send out prayers on behalf of the family.

Marlene and family.
I'm so sorry to hear about Monk. I have the fondest memories of him and my children love him, especially Brittny. Monk was always Monk no matter where you saw him and he always made sure he spoke. My thoughts and prayers are with you all now and in the coming days. God bless each of you.
