Richard Bowers Obituary

Mr. Richard Bowers, 69, died Saturday, Dec. 7, 2013, at his home.
He was born Dec. 16, 1943 in Lancaster, the son of the late Charlie Richard Bowers and Lee Belle Williams Bowers and was the husband of Becky Lane Bowers.
Mr. Bowers retired from Morrisons Textiles and was a member of Faith Baptist Church.
Mr. Bowers is survived by his wife, Becky Lane Bowers; two sons, Steven Bowers and his wife, BettyJo, of Columbia, and Mark Jordan of Irmo; a daughter, Michelle Bowers Jolly of Lancaster; six grandchildren, Michael Lloyd and his wife, Verna, Stevie Bowers, Danny Bowers, Joshua Bowers, Bobby Jordan and his wife, Krista, and Leslie Jordan; and five great-grandchildren, Kylee Lloyd, Matthew Lloyd, Rosie Jordan, Ellie Jordan and Olivia Jordan.
Mr. Bowers was preceded in death by a son, Michael Richard Bowers, Jr. and a sister, Peggy Medlin.
The celebration of life funeral service for Mr. Bowers was 3 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 10, 2013, at Faith Baptist Church by pastor Gerald Eaves and Steven Bowers. Burial followed in the church cemetery.
The family of Mr. Bowers received friends one hour prior to the service in the church sanctuary.
