George Lee McDaniel, Jr.

Clarksville - George Lee McDaniel, Jr., age 61 of Clarksville, passed away Thursday, August 23, 2018, at his residence.

George was born November 4, 1956, in Louisville, KY, to the late George Lee McDaniel, Sr. and Anna Jean Johnson McDaniel. He was also preceded in death by his brother, Johnny; and one sister, Mary Lee Wimsatt.

George worked for the Civil Service at Fort Campbell, from 1981 until his retirement in 2016. Mr. McDaniel was a US Army veteran. He was a great Husband, Daddy, PaPa, Brother, and Friend. He will be missed by so many that knew him.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held Monday, August 27, at 12:00 PM, at the Chapel of Neal-Tarpley-Parchman Funeral Home, with Pastor Derrick Smith officiating. Burial will follow at Kentucky Veterans Cemetery West, in Hopkinsville. Visitation will be Saturday, August 25, from 4:00 to 8:00 PM, Sunday, August 26, from 2:00 to 6:00 PM, and Monday, August 27, from 10:00 AM until the hour of service, at the funeral home.

George is survived by his wife of 45 years, Shelia McMahan McDaniel of Clarksville; two sons, George Lee (Heather) McDaniel III and Joshua (Beth) McDaniel of Clarksville; daughter, Kimberly (Scott) Williams of Clarksville; three sisters, Debbie Coulter of Bardstown, KY, Pam Grimes of Louisville, KY, and Diane Schum of Macclenny, FL; and nine grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be George McDaniel III, Joshua McDaniel, Andy Anderson, Stanton Stanley, Juston McDaniel, and Scott Williams.
