Scott Beasley Obituary

Scott Beasley

Cedar Hill, TN

Robert Scott Beasley, age 46, of Cedar Hill, passed away on Sunday, August 21, 2016 surrounded by his family.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday, August 28, 2016 at Hilldale Church of Christ with Bro. Steve Kirby officiating.

Burial will follow at Resthaven Memorial Gardens.

The Beasley family will receive friends from 2 to 8 p.m. Saturday at McReynolds-Nave & Larson Funeral Home and from 1 p.m. until the hour of service on Sunday at Hilldale Church of Christ.

Scott entered into this life on November 16, 1969 in Charleston, South Carolina, son of William R. Beasley, Sr. and Barbara Dillard White. Scott was preceded in death by his father, William R. Beasley Sr. and stepmother, Patricia Beasley.

Scott was a delivery driver for UPS of Clarksville. He was a graduate of Jo Byrns High School, an alumnus of Austin Peay State University, and a Pi Kappa Alpha fraternity brother. He was selected as the 2012 Pi Kappa Alpha Alum of the Year. Scott was a passionate individual and his zeal was evident in his association with the things he had great fervor for, such as the Clarksville-Montgomery County Humane Society. There, he was an Honorary Board Member and founder of The Waggle Golf Tourney which annually supported the local humane society with all proceeds going to the animals. Also, he was a huge sports fanatic and loved cheering for the Alabama Crimson Tide. Above all things, Scott was a family man beyond compare. He was a devoted husband and loving, doting father who will be sorely missed. He attended Hilldale Church of Christ and Cedar Hill Baptist Church.

He is survived by his wife, Adrienne Brown Beasley; son, Wyatt Beasley; daughter, Lyla Mae Beasley all of Cedar Hill; mother and stepfather, Barbara and Jim White; brothers, William Beasley, Jr. of Brandon, MS and Mark Beasley of Charleston, SC; stepbrother, Greg White; stepsister, Traci Buck; and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Pallbearers will be James Rucker, Jake Bumpus, Chris Atkins, Troy Shepherd, Sean Sampson, Russell Beasley, John Shephard, James Bagby, Lance Carpenter, and Greg Parker. Honorary pallbearers will be Kurt Kujawa along with active members and alumni of the Pi Kappa Alpha Fraternity and also the Jo Byrns graduating class of 1988.

Memorial contributions may be made in Scott's memory to the Clarksville-Montgomery County Humane Society. The family is also accepting flowers. Condolences may be made online at NaveFuneralHomes.com. (931) 647-3371.

I am so very sorry for your loss. Though I did not know Scott personally, I was at APSU and a Pike Lil Sis a number of years before he was there, It is so obvious of the love and friendships that Scott had, and the close bonds he had. May your Family find comfort in your cherished memories. Love to you and your Family. My heart is with you all.

So very sad to hear about Beasley's passing. Only saw him a few times over the past couple of years, but he always seemed the same... A charismatic man, who loved his family so much. My thoughts and prayers and being sent to his loved ones during this difficult time.
