LIPPS, 76
WINTER HAVEN - James H. Lipps, 76, of Winter Haven, FL, formerly of Erlanger, KY, passed away on Wednesday, May 13, 2015, at St. Pete General Hospital in FL, surrounded by his family.
Mr. Lipps was a retired shoe merchandise manager for the Schottenstein/Value City Organization. He was an avid golfer and belonged to the 4 Lakes Golf Club in Winter Haven, FL, and an avid boater.
Mr. Lipps was preceded in death by his son, Jerry in 2014 and brother, Jack and sister, Rita. James is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Jo Ann Lipps of Winter Haven, FL, and their children, Jim (Lisa) Lipps of Indianapolis, IN, and Bob (Lorrie) Lipps of Cape Coral, FL. He also leaves behind a daughter-in-law, Dianna Lipps of Muncie, IN, and grandchildren: Sarah, Rachael, Michael, Aaron, Jason, and Whitney Lipps, great grandchildren: Mackenzie, Maleah and Mavery Lipps.
Visitation will be Saturday, May 23, 2015, from 8:00am to 9:30am at Linnemann Family Funeral Homes, Erlanger, KY, with Mass of Christian Burial to follow at St. Henry Church at 10:00am. Entombment will be at Mother of God Cemetery in Covington, KY. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to the Austin Quinn Scholarship Fund c/o Ball State University Foundation, Ball State University Muncie, IN, 47306. To the family of Mr. Lipps, that's what I always called him. I worked with him at Shonac for years until he retired. He was the nicest man you would ever want to meet and had the best sense of humor, we shared alot of laughs. I am so sorry, his passing is a huge loss.
