JONES, 63

TALLAHASSEE - Kenneth Wayne Jones, 63, of Tallahassee, FL passed away Sunday, December 2, 2018. Ken retired from the U.S. Air Force and taught school for 20 years with the Leon County School System. He and his wife opened their home as foster parents for over 18 years.
He is survived by his wife: Jane Avant Jones, sons: Billy K. Lawhon (Tracy), John L. Lawhon (Tiffany), and Isaias Jones, daughters: Amy M. Kelly (Christian), Andrea Higdon (Joey), God daughters: Travionna and Tracy Adams and Kenseligh Surdakowski, brothers: Don Jones, Jr. and Randy Jones, a sister: Gail Oshea, grandchildren Brittany, Tommy, Randy, John II, Shelby, Morgan, Bubba, Pacey, Tyler, Bryce, Emily, Ryleigh, Olivia, Joseph V, Caroline and one great grandchild Holly. Ken was preceded in death by a son, Joshua Wayne Jones.
A graveside service will take place at 2:00 pm on Saturday, Dec. 8, 2018 at Oak Hill Cemetery, In lieu of flowers the family requests that you please consider your donations to The Children's Home Society of the Big Bend, 1801 Miccosukee Commons Drive, Tallahassee, FL 32308 or The Veterans Association.
