ALBERTO REYES Obituary
EDINBURG - Alberto Reyes Jr., 44, died Tuesday, February 28, 2012, at Edinburg Regional Hospital.
Born on November 14, 1967, Alberto had been a lifelong resident of Edinburg. He was a supervisor for Tetra Technologies, and was a wonderful husband, a loving father, son, and friend. He was loved by many and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
Mr. Reyes is preceded in death by his father Alberto Reyes Sr.; grandmother Benita Galvan; and uncle Noe Galvan.
He is survived by his wife of 19 years Lydia Linda Reyes; children, Cassandra Lynne Reyes, and Alberto Reyes III of Edinburg; mother, Maria Soccorro Reyes of Puerto Rico, TX; grandson, Mason Conner Pearce of Edinburg; brother, Armando (Velinda) Reyes of San Isidro, TX; sister, Tara Ann (Kevin) Gibson of California; mother in law, Belia Sanchez of Pharr; brother in law Andres Sanchez of Edinburg, six nieces and nephews, Victoria Tonikian, and Olivia Gibson of Ladera, Califonia, Amanda, Armando and Isabella Reyes of San Isidro and Thomas Andrew Sanchez of San Antonio, TX.
Visitation will be held from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m., with a 7:00 p.m. prayer service today, March 1, 2012, at Memorial Funeral Home in Edinburg. Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m. Friday, March 2, 2012, at the First Lutheran Church in Edinburg. Interment will follow at Guadalupe del Torrero Ranch in Puerto Rico, TX.
Pallbearers will be Andres Sanchez, Billy Salazar, Robert Yzaguirre, Danny Recio, Norberto Galvan, Jesus "Bobo" Rosales. Honorary Bearers will be his brother, Armando Reyes; nephew, Armando Reyes Jr.
Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in Edinburg.

Mrs. Reyes, I grew up with Albert at Brewster and will always remember him as a kind, funny, friendly boy of 15 who liked to play jokes on us. I remember seeing Albert n Linda at the beginning of their relationship and the love between them only grew with the years...Albert was a truly sensational human being. He was sincere, humble, honest and truly kind. A true cowboy and he loved his family more than anything else. The Lord truly did take a good one much too soon. It saddens me to hear that Albert has left this world even though he's gone home for good. My first memory of him was thirty years ago when Tara and other friends were kids at Brewster.
