John Gager Obituary
John took great pride in Heather's education, musical performances, and together they raised German Shepherds. It was with immense delight that John and Emma sent Heather off to Wellesley College in Boston this fall. John earned his BSA Eagle Scout award and loved the outdoors.
John is also survived by three siblings, Susan (Doug) Manyen, Robert (Kim) Gager, and Carol Anne (Jeff) Nickelson; mother-in-law, 5 sisters-in-law, 1 brother-in-law and several nieces and nephews. John was preceded in death by his parents, Jerry and Carol Gager and his brother Jim Gager.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, December 19, 2021 from 2:00 pm to 6:00 pm with a Rosary at 4:30 pm at Rivera Funeral Home of McAllen.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Holy Spirit Catholic Church of McAllen.

The Lord took a good man home. John was a caring father who took great pride in his family. He challenged his daughter to strive for excellence and stood by her side to help her to achieve great accomplishments. The good memories that I have of John, Emma, and Heather will live on forever. John may be gone but he will never be forgotten.
