Gregory Hoffman Obituary
CLYDE: Gregory F. Hoffman, 63, of Clyde, died on Monday, August 8, 2016 at St. Vincent Mercy Medical Center, Toledo.
Greg was born in Sandusky on April 16, 1953 to John Joseph and Jane Elaine (Bruggeman) Hoffman.
He retired from the Whirlpool Corp in 2013 after 36 years. Mr. Hoffman was a Marine Corps veteran.
Greg enjoyed gardening and working on his lawn. He volunteered at McGee Marsh as part of his outdoor interests. He was a movie buff and an avid rock music fan.
On July 3, 1982, he married the former Deborah Taylor. She, along with their two sons, Brett Hoffman (fiancée Aimee Okazaki), Richmond, VA and Nicholas Hoffman, Clyde survive. Also surviving are his siblings, John (Stephanie Carraway) Hoffman, Clyde; Pat Cook, Tiffin; Karen (Ray) Colon, Fremont; Kevin (Vickie) Hoffman, Clyde, Mark Hoffman, Fremont; Beth (Chuck) Werner, Bellevue, Brian (Mona) Hoffman, Tiffin, Jennifer Semelak (Mike), Cuyahoga Falls, and David Pettys, Pascagoula, MS.
He is preceded by his father, John and mother, Jane Hoffman Pettys and brother, Jamie Hoffman and step-father, Ron Pettys.
Memorials may be made to the humane society of choice.
Mitchell-Auxter Funeral Home, 218 South Main St., Clyde is assisting the family with arrangements.
