Our condolences to Sherry and Biz's family. When we returned from our holiday travels and found our Christmas card returned from Cedar Key we were surprised. When we found this site we were very saddened.
Although I only lived in Fremont from 1951 to 1955 it is a time that stands out because I had a friend named Biz. After 60 years we finally met again at Biz's Sandusky River cottage in 2015. What a joyful and memorable reunion.
I knew Biz at a time of life when time passed slowly and summers lasted a long time. We spent hours at Roger Young Park and exploring the Sandusky River. Kids organized their own baseball and football games and parents didn't attend. Our heroes were a baseball player named Al Rosen, a frontiersman named Davy Crocket and a dog named Rin Tin Tin.
They say as you look back on life to thank those that helped you along the way. Thanks Biz for being my friend.

To the Paeth Family,
I didn't know Biz but I did know his Mother and sister Marian. Almost 40 years ago, as Biz was moving up in his successful coaching career, a former student basketball manager of his suddenly died. at 19 years of age.
Biz had moved away. I called him and asked him to call the family and express his condolences. He said he would be happy to call them. The next day I heard from the family, that he in fact, he made the journey to the funeral home in person. It meant so much to the family. I never had the opportunity to thank him in person. He was a class act. Rest in Peace.

Our sympathy to all of Biz' family. Biz was a class act - handsome, funny, intelligent, always a warm greeting for others. Gene still remembers when he would come to Lorentz' Fine Foods on Tiffin Street to spend some of his paper route money! Biz will be missed by many - may all your wonderful memories sustain you.
