Tyler Edwards Obituary
Funeral services celebrating the life of Tyler Matthew Edwards, 26, of Monroe, LA will be 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, September 23, 2015 at North Monroe Baptist Church in Monroe with Rev. Warren Eckhart officiating. Interment will follow in Mulhearn Memorial Park Cemetery, under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home, Monroe.
Tyler died Saturday, September 19, 2015.
He was preceded in death by Grandfathers, Edward R. Edwards and William B. Herrick, Jr.
Tyler was a graduate of Ouachita Parish High School and a student at Louisiana State University where he would have received his degree this year. He was a former member of the LSU Tiger football team. He enjoyed being with his family and friends as well as spending time outdoors hunting and fishing. Above all, he loved most in this world God, family, and his country. He was blessed with a kind and gentle soul. Tyler was one in a million.
Survivors: Father and Step-mother, Timothy and Kimberly Edwards; Mother and Step-father, Mary (May) and Roy Jarrell; Brothers and Sisters, Eric Edwards and wife, Mary Kathryn, Erin Edwards Muranovic and husband, Adi, Breanna Edwards, Victoria Edwards, Ben Baker and John Baker; Grandmothers, Bonnie Edwards Knotts and Deborah Ann Herrick; Nieces and Nephews, Ellie Edwards, Adler Edwards, Anna Sterling Edwards, Rylee Baker, Regan Baker, and Aden Baker.
Pallbearers will be David Benefield, Cody Lockwood, Taylor Smith, Chase Clement, Eric Edwards, Ben Baker and John Baker.
Visitation will be from 4:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. Tuesday at Mulhearn Funeral Home in Monroe and from 1:00 P.M. until time of service, Wednesday at North Monroe Baptist Church.

Went to Jr High and High School with Tyler. He was always a great guy always had jokes never a dull moment with him in class. Great football player, great guy, and a great friend. You will be forever missed as a friend to some and and brother to most who knew you and graduated with you. Fly high and keep an eye on all of us RIP Tyler.

Praying for the family and friends of Tyler Edwards. You will be missed by so many. Tyler and I were never close but we went to school together and we were acquaintances. I remember Tyler being SO funny. He really loved to make people laugh.

I met Tyler in Jr. High when I moved to Monroe. In high school we had a couple of classes together and we would always have this little squad sitting together. Tyler was kind to everyone he talked to no matter who they were. He had a huge heart and a beautiful smile. My prayers are with his family and to all of you reading this. He touched all our hearts and will never be forgotten.
