Phillip Drexler Obituary

Phillip D. Drexler

Oshkosh - Phillip D. Drexler, age 59, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, April 23, 2021. He was born on August 12, 1961 in Oshkosh to the late Franklin and Nancy (Veith) Drexler. He was united in marriage to Judithann Jansen on October 3, 1987.

Phil is lovingly survived by his wife, Judie; two daughters: Hollie (John) Wagner, Briana Drexler; three grandsons: Bentley, Ryker, Knox; three siblings: Pastor Curtis (Marian) Drexler, Kathleen (Jeff) Rasmussen, Paul Drexler; nieces, nephews and numerous other in-law's and relatives. He was further preceded in death by his infant sister, Deanna Drexler.

Phil's 40 year electrical career began with Lark Electric until starting his name sake Drexler Electric. His customers didn't hire just any electrician; they chose to use a trusted friend for his master skills. He appreciated and loved the smiles after completing electrical and carpentry work that seemed so easy to him, which will now live on as his memory at all of the family cottages.

Phil's grandsons brought the biggest smiles to his face and were the love of his life. He loved every minute spent with them putting corn out for the deer, looking for buck rubs, fish in the pond and giving under-ducks.

He loved the outdoors and was an accomplished fisherman, gun and bow deer hunter. He proudly displayed his numerous trophies for all to admire on his basement walls. Phil also enjoyed spending many fall Sundays cheering on his favorite NFL team, whether it was from the bleachers or pacing in front of the TV…GO Pack GO.

Phil enjoyed being a part of God's family at Grace and proudly served on the Property Board and as Property Overseer for many years.

A memorial service will be held at 12:00 pm on Saturday, May 1, 2021 at Grace Lutheran Church, 913 Nebraska Street, Oshkosh. Visitation will be at the church on Saturday from 9:00 am until the time of service.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial will be established.

My condolences go out to the Drexler family. Although I haven't seen Phil for many years I will always have the great memories of our adventures, and the mischief, we all seemed to get into growing up together on the Southside.

Prayers go out to the entire Drexler family. Phil was one of my brothers friends and I knew him from a very young age. He was a regular at my dads hunting shack where many hunting adventures took place. His ever lasting smile could Light up a room when he walked in. I will cherish these memories forever. RIP Phil.
