Mark S. Weis

Mark S. Weis of Harleysville Mark, S. Weis, 57, passed away unexpectedly at his Harleysville residence on June 18, 2015. He had formerly lived in Collegeville. Born December 30, 1957 in Philadelphia, he was a son of the late Norman M. and Rhoda (McDevitt) Weis. He was a 1975 graduate of Upper Merion High School and also attended Montgomery County Community College. He was a career salesman, working for various local companies. Mark was a huge Philadelphia Eagles fan and loved fishing and cooking. He enjoyed his involvement with little league baseball and midget football, formerly serving as president of the Lower Providence Midget Football Assoc. Above all, he loved his sons and cherished time with his family. Surviving are three sons, Derek M. Weis and Daniel M. Weis, both of Philadelphia, and David Weis of Vallejo, CA. He is also survived by a brother, Robert W. Weis and his wife, Margaret, of Coatesville; two sisters, Lisa M. Cole and her husband, Steven, and Kris M. Heffner and her husband, Patrick, all of Harleysville; nieces and nephews, Amanda M. Cole, Jacob P. Heffner, Matthew T. Heffner, Ryan A. Weis, and Raychal E. Weis; and his former wife, Sandra Lasorda. Relatives and friends are invited to attend his funeral service at 8PM on Wednesday, June 24, at Williams-Bergey-Koffel Funeral Home, Inc., 667 Harleysville Pike, Telford (Franconia Twp.), where friends may call for the viewing beginning at 7PM.
