Jack Smart Obituary
He was born on February 4, 1935 in St. Louis, MO to the late Raymond and Lula Smart. On March 21, 1956 he married Margaret (Breeden) Smart in Georgia.
In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by a grandson, Justin Smart in 1989; three brothers and four sisters.
Jack enjoyed gardening and trout fishing. He retired from UMR. He was a member of the VFW, the Korean War Veterans, the American Legion of Rolla and Albany, GA, and the First Baptist Church of Rolla. Jack loved spending time with his family.
He will be greatly missed by his surviving family which includes: his wife, Margaret Smart of Rolla; two sons, Michael Smart and Paul Smart, both of Rolla; seven grandchildren, Austin Smart, Miranda Smart, Joseph Smart, Gabby Westlake, Heather Smart, Brittany Smart and Shane Smart; eight great grandchildren and two step sisters, Janet Kidwell of Louisiana and Kathy Kidwell Masterson of Rolla.
A funeral service for Jack E. Smart will be conducted at 1 p.m. on Friday, March 20, 2015 at the Null and Son Funeral Home of Rolla. Interment with full military honors will follow in the Macedonia Cemetery.
A visitation for family and friends will be held prior to the service beginning at 11 a.m. at the funeral home.
Memorials are suggested to the family to help with medical expenses or the Veteran's Memorial Park in Rolla.

All arrangements are under the direction of the Null and Son Funeral Home of Rolla.

Rip grandpa smart I love you. I am heartbroken that I couldn't make the trip to say goodbye the right way. I have so many great memories from she I was little. Those of you that knew him, knew that he LOVED Oreo Blizzards. Enjoy your endless supply of them

Aunt Margaret, Mike, Paul and family,
We are so sorry to hear of Uncle Jack's passing. We are glad that Pearl got to talk to him early while you were so sick. May God Bless you and give you the strength to get through this. We love you all and will continue to pray for you all.
