Roy Woodard Obituary

Nashville, TN-Mr. Roy Edison Woodard, age 87, earned his wings on July 21, 2023. He was born April 22, 1936 in Bryson City, North Carolina to the late George Matt and Arzelia Gaynell Brooks Woodard. He was the eldest child of eight born to George and Arzelia.
He was preceded in death by his oldest daughter, Donna Marie Stephens, grandson, Adam Woodard, brother, Joseph Matt Woodard and brothers-in-law, Earl Mashburn and Cline Winchester.
He leaves behind his children, Dwayne, Mike, Angela (Mike), Chris (Margaret); five grandchildren Brandon, Joshua (Tabitha) Jana (Jeff), Victor, Caleb; three great grandchildren, Gage, Jasmine and Caleb; siblings, Maxine Winchester, Betty Mashburn (Danny), Wade Woodard (Helen), Wayne Woodard (Rosie), Nora Lee Jones (Jimmy), Carolyn Fisher (Frank) and a host of extended family and friends.
He served his country in the United States Army during the Korean War. After serving in the military, he worked in construction, carpentry and pipe fitting.
There will be a graveside service held at Mason Branch Cemetery. The date and time for the service is pending and will be updated once confirmed. Arrangements entrusted to Spring Hill Funeral Home and Cemetery, 5110 Gallatin Road, Nashville, Tennessee 37216, www.springhillfh.com.
