Clara Jetter Obituary
Clara June was born Aug. 3, 1923, in Du Quoin, to William "Dad" Bills and Lydia "Mom" Bills.
She was the youngest of five siblings, Hazel Schneider, Russell Bills, William "Brother" Bills and LaVerna Heil.
Clara June married Ira "Junior" Jetter on May 24, 1947.
Clara June and Junior had eight children, Wayne Jetter, Pat (Kathy) Jetter, Steven (Debbie) Jetter, Mary Burton (David) Hitt, Janet (Jim) Odle, Jane Jetter, Jean Jetter (Gary Frierdich) and Barbara June (Barbie) (deceased); 12 grandchildren, Karen (Jetter) Crawford, David (Lisa Marie) Jetter, Cole (Nikki) Burton, Annie Burton, Chris Jetter, Matt Jetter, Jim Odle, Stacey Bast, Sunny (Sarah) Frierdich, Tony (Brandi) Frierdich and Jacob Frierdich; five great-grandchildren, Jacob O'Riley, Harlow Burton, Ariel, Aurora and Tyler Frierdich.
Clara June had a very diversified professional career with her husband of 55 years as owners of "The Clara June Shop," a Texaco station, a bakery, farmers, "Lenzburg Chuckwagon," "Jetter Auto Sales," and Jetter Carpet and Cabinetry.
Clara June was an avid quilter, crocheter and a talented seamstress.
She was a member of the Royal Neighbors, the Busy Bees, DAR and Eastern Star.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, June 25, 2009, in Heil-Schuessler Funeral Home in Marissa, with the Rev. Harkness officiating. Burial will be in Marissa Township Cemetery. Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. today and from 9 to 10 a.m. Thursday, June 25, 2009, at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to Marissa Senior Center, 815 N. Borders, Marissa, IL 62257.
Heil-Schuessler Funeral Home in Marissa is in charge of arrangements.

Both Linda & I send our prayers and kindest thoughts to you all at this difficult time. I will never forget Clara & Jr.'s devotion to the Cystic Fibrosis fund. Linda still speaks fondly of Janet as her secretary at Sparta, and of course I'll never forget the Jetter girls at MHS. Hey girls, I'm sorry for your loss. My prayer's will be with you and your family. I have also (as many from the class of 75 have) know the pain and sorry you are facing. I was asked by a friend a few years back how do how do we let a parent go. My only answer was you don't. You keep them with you always. As the years pass you may not think of then hour by hour or even day by day but when they do cross your mind/heart you come to understand that they will always be with you. Their smile, their words, their love and even their anger. Then their passing turns from hurt to a beloved memory that you learn to cherish.

I have known your mom all my life. She was a great woman who will be missed by all. She always had a smile on her face, because of her love for her family and friends. Each of you's held a special place in her heart, as she in your. May God give you strength to get through this difficult time.
