Ronald Tobias Obituary
St. George, Utah - Ronald Lloyd Tobias passed away unexpectedly at his home in Sun River, St. George on April 17th. Born August 16, 1945 to Lloyd and Helen Tobias in Pipestone, MN.
Ronald served proudly in the U.S. Army from 1967 to 1980. In 1970, Ron married Janet Passmore and had two children, Kimberly L. and Justin R. They later divorced.
Ron worked for the Valley Center School District for more than 20 years, and there he met Patty Hoffa, whom he married in 2000. Patty brought her two children from her previous marriage, Justin G. and Ashley D. Ron and Patty retired to Sun River in 2004. Ron had a passion for golf, the Minnesota Vikings, NASCAR, The Eagles, and his SSR Chevy roadster. Ron was a member of the Patriot Guard Riders until his health declined.
He is survived by his loving wife Patty, daughter Kimberly (Ernesto) Duarte, son Justin (Barb) Tobias, sister Leann (Dennis) Nordberg, brother Greg (Sue) Tobias, step-daughter Ashley (Daniel) Lotz, step-son Justin Hoffa, grandchildren Cassondra, Cameron, Brianna, Britnee Duarte, and Malin Lotz. He is preceded by his parents Lloyd and Helen Tobias.
A Celebration of Life will be held Thursday, May 10, 2018 at 2:00 pm at the Sun River Community Center at 4275 Country Club Ln. Condolences may be shared at mcmillanmortuary.com
