I am so sorry to hear of Ed's passing. Ed and I worked at a small closing firm in Norwell in 2004. I was a new attorney and the office was very cliquey and Ed made a point of going out of his way to greet me and make me feel welcomed on my first day. Ed was smart, funny, warm and big-hearted. He was a favorite in the office and helped to mentor me. He spoke frequently about his family and was excited about his daughter's upcoming marriage. He and I kept up for a bit and lost touch. I am so sorry that his last years were so difficult with his spinal injury and subsequent illness. I hope your family is comforted by how well-loved Ed was by everyone who knew him. I will keep Ed and your family in my thoughts.

My sincerest condolences to you Betty. I was shocked to hear about Ed's passing this past Monday(April 29th). Ed and I had many interesting and informative conversations that I always enjoyed. Ed was very nice and easy to talk with.
I respect Ed's courage and bravery these last 4 years and I will think of Ed often, laughing and playing in the backyard with his grandchildren.
