Burton Jack Lee, 77, of Roaring Brook Twp., passed away Sunday, Aug. 15, 2021, at Geisinger Community Medical Center in Scranton following a brief illness. He was the loving husband of Charito (DeGuzman) Lee. They would have celebrated their 47th wedding anniversary on Aug. 24.
Born in Trenton, N.J., he was son of the late Elwood and Frances (Cosgrove) Lee. Upon earning his bachelor's degree from Trenton State College, Jack enlisted in the United States Navy, where he reached the rank of lieutenant. It was his great honor being able to serve his country during the Vietnam War. After leaving the Navy, Jack became a real estate agent in San Diego, Calif., where he met his beloved wife, Charito. After marriage, they moved to Pennsylvania where Jack was employed by the Tobyhanna Army Depot. He was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting and fishing during all seasons, but most of all Jack enjoyed spending time with his family and friends whom he cherished very much.
Jack is also survived by his daughters, MaryJane Walsh and her husband, Thomas of Wilkes-Barre, and Maya Tigue and her husband, William of Scranton; his sister, Barbara Lee of Somerset, N.J.; his three grandchildren, Kiana Walsh, Kiah Walsh and Keegan Tigue; and his two great-grandchildren, Ian Walsh and Anna Springer Walsh.
The family would like to extend their sincere thanks to Dr. Ferdinand Manahan, along with the physicians and nurses in the Progressive and Intensive Care Units at Geisinger CMC for their compassionate care and kindness while treating Jack.
Interment with military honors in St. Catherine's Cemetery in Covington Twp. will be private.
Memorial contributions can be made in honor of Jack to Wounded Warrior Project, P.O. Box 758516, Topeka, KS 66675-8516.

Very sorry to hear of your loss. Jack was witty; tremendously smart; and a loyal and supportive co-worker and friend. I enjoyed working with him and sharing some good laughs along the way. It was an honor to have known him.
