Elaine Barrett, 70, of Archbald, passed away Thursday, Dec. 22, at Geisinger Community Medical Center, Scranton. She was the wife of Jack Barrett. They were married for 52 years.
Elaine was born in Peckville, Pa., on Jan. 15, 1952, a daughter of the late Martina (Panfile) and Elmer Fioretti. Was a graduate of Valley View High School and worked for McLane in Jessup, and was a member of St. Thomas Aquinas Church, Archbald.
She was the most amazing wife, mother, Noni, niece and friend who always put her family first. She was selfless and one of the kindest souls you would ever meet. She was an amazing cook whose home was always open to friends and family. She touched so many lives and left a lasting impression on everyone she met.
Also surviving are a daughter, Lori Nolan and husband, Robert, Archbald; two sons, Jack Barrett and wife, Lisa, Scott Twp.; and Craig Barrett and wife, Shannon, Mohtan, Pa.; a sister, Lisa Maus, Eynon; six grandchildren, Shane, Christopher and Dylan Barrett, Robbie and Braden Nolan, and Ashley Lapiers; three great-grandchildren, Journee, Hailey and Kyla; a niece, Peggy Brown, whom Elaine loved like she was her own daughter; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by a grandson, Jake Barrett.
The funeral will be Wednesday at 9:30 a.m. from the Harrison Funeral Home, 374 N. Main St., Archbald, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 in St. Thomas Aquinas Church, Archbald. Interment will be in St. Francis Cemetery, Eynon.
Viewing will be 8 to 9:30 on Wednesday.
