Jean Romanovich Obituary

Jean Romanovich, 81, of Blakely, died Sunday morning in Moses Taylor Hospital after an illness. She was the widow of Peter Romanovich, who died in 2003.

Born in Scranton, daughter of the late Joseph and Anna Rogers Kamosky, she was a graduate of Scranton Technical High School and later moved to Blakely where she resided most of her life. She worked for J.C. Penney and Rolane in retail sales. She was a member of Sacred Heart of Jesus Church, Peckville.

She was a kind and loving mother and grandmother who was an avid bingo player. She will be dearly missed by her family and friends.

The family members extend a special thanks to the staff at Moses Taylor Hospital Intensive Care Unit, Mid-Valley Hospital Emergency Room and DaVita Dialysis Outpatient Unit, Dunmore.

Surviving are five children, Ann Marie and husband, David Klassner, Peckville; Suzan Romanovich, Blakely; Nancy and husband, Eric Clarkson, Peckville; P.J. and wife, Gail Romanovich, Jessup; and Paul and wife, Diana Romanovich, Peckville; a sister, Frances Sullivan, Clarks Summit; five grandchildren, Elizabeth and Brian Klassner, and Seth, Laura and Julia Romanovich; nieces and nephews.

She was also preceded in death by a brother, Joseph Kamosky.

The funeral will be Wednesday from the James M. Margotta Funeral Home, 1019 Main St., Peckville, with Mass at 9:30 a.m. in Sacred Heart of Jesus Church, Willow Street, Peckville. Interment, St. Cyril's Cemetery, Peckville.

Friends may call Tuesday, 5 to 8 p.m.
