Michael Ritter Obituary
Born in Archbald, son of the late John and Catherine Sabatelle Ritter, he was educated in Dunmore public schools. Michael enjoyed his CB radios, motorcycles and being a Penn State Fan. Before his illness, he owned and operated Court Street Barber Shop for 35 years. He had a strong bond with his customers, they were like a second family. His grandchildren were the light of his life.
Also surviving are two sons, Jason M. Ritter and Michael Ritter, both of New York; four daughters, Michelle Flanagan and husband, Scott, Moosic; Debbie Ritter, New York; Suzette Merkt, New York; and Lisa Reese, Mississippi; three grandchildren, Sean Ritter, Lily and Luke Flanagan; two brothers, John Ritter Jr., Scranton; and Robert Ritter, Florida; two sisters, Ann Marie Palante and Beatrice Horstman, New York; nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was also preceded in death by a brother, Joseph.
The funeral will be Tuesday at 10 a.m. in Divine Mercy Parish at the Church of St. Joseph, 312 Davis St. Interment private at the convenience of the family.

He had wisdom beyond his years; and Dariane, his wife lived a purgatorial life until they met.
She was the half of him that made them both whole.

Your family are in my prayers. I did not know he was sick. My name is Mary Ellen Vasey Morano.My mom was Mary Ritter Vasey. She passed away in May of 2008. She was the last of ten and she was 86 when she pased. To all of the family who remember Aunt lillian's house, where everyone met because Grandma Helen Ritter lived with her. I found a picture of chi chi and her family recently in a box that lillian had left. We all used to gather at the cottage at Chapman Lake before Uncle John passed away.I have a picture of him drinking a milk shake we used to bring him from Montdale dairy. We had many good times and holidays there. It's hard to believe that all these years have gone by and we have not seen each other or kept in touch. I called Junior when Aunt Lillian died but had no response. I am sorry that I can not be there I am in Maryland at my daughters. I would love to see everyone and find out where everyone is.I have an I phone and my number is 570-687-3899. Again my condolences to the family, sorry I cannot be there.

we are so sorry abot mikes passing,he meant the world to john,teased the heck out of me,made both of us laugh alot,talked to our grandaughters on the cb,mike,you are loved and will be sooooo missed by all that knew you!

To all of the people that made my husband's life more interesting and easier to get through. He loved everyone of you. He was always there to stop an arguement or to start one as you all know. He thought that you were like family to him. The cb was a very important part of his life. When I would come home, I would catch him just sitting there in the dark waiting to hear a friendly voice to talk to. I appreciate all of you for making his life a little more tolerable. Thanks for all the help that you have given us over the years. 10 4 good buddy!

The disagreements, the kind words, the radio checks a million times a day. It is what he looked forward to each and everyday. All of you were very important to him.
