Nicholas J. Mancus, 89, passed away peacefully on Monday, Nov. 20, 2023. He was a lifelong resident of Scott Twp., where he lived with his beloved wife, Andrea Mancus of 63 years.
Nicholas was born in Peckville, Pa., as the son of Nicholas and Mary Mancus of Archbald. He was a member of the United States Marine Corps. He was a prominent businessman in the garment industry in Scranton, Pa., where he worked for over 40 years. His true passion was the great outdoors. He loved to hunt, fish and raise beagles. His sanctuary was his home and his land.

Also surviving are his daughters, Lisa Mancus, Eynon; Michele Mancus and partner Jeff Nichols, Scott Twp. His brothers, John Mancus of Montdale, Gerald Mancus of Kansas City, James Mancus of Newton Lake. Grandchildren, Christopher S. Betti, Anthony F. Esgro, Nicholas A. Esgro, Gianna Latimer-Prewitt, Elijah Latimer, Grayson Latimer; and his great-grandson, Waylon B. Prewitt.
He was preceded in death by his beloved daughter, Nikki Mancus Latimer.
