Paul Kelly Obituary

Paul F. Kelly, 78, a 33-year resident of Covington Twp., died Saturday, Dec. 29, in Florida. He was the husband of Mary Ann Kraynick Kelly.

Born in Scranton, son of the late Paul F. and Ruth Gow Kelly, Paul graduated from St. Mary's School in Scranton and retired after 24 years of service from the Air Force. He was then employed at the Tobyhanna Army Depot for 17 years, retiring in 1997.

Paul was a fan of Phillies baseball, Notre Dame football and enjoyed following Indy car racing. He was a member of St. Catherine of Sienna Church in Moscow and the Retired Enlisted Association.

Paul is also survived by a son, Paul K. Kelly and wife, Lisa, Las Vegas; two sisters, Mary Evelyn McDonald and Ann Harrity; five grandchildren, Kevin and Justin Kelly; and Hailey, Luciano and Donte Pomara; many nieces and nephews.

He was also preceded in death by a daughter, Kathleen Pomara; and a sister, Margaret Cawley.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday at 10:30 a.m. at St. Catherine of Sienna Church in Moscow, by the Rev. Robert Simon. Interment with military honors will follow in Holy Family Cemetery, Throop.

There will be a visitation from 9:30 until the time of the Mass at the church.
