Steve Dickerson Obituary
A native of Granville County, he was the son of Willard Hayes and Ethel Briggs Hayes. Steve was a veteran of the National Guard and was retired from Honda Power Equipment Manufacturing in Mebane with 29 years of service.
In addition to his parents of Henderson, Mr. Dickerson is survived by his daughter, Heather Whaley of Stoney Creek; his spouse Debbie Dickerson; and many aunts, uncles and cousins.
A memorial service will be conducted at the Rich & Thompson Chapel in Graham on Wednesday, October 18, 2017 at 3 p.m. by Rev. Brad Wiggs. The family will receive friends at the funeral home prior to the service on Wednesday from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m.
The family would like to extend a special thanks to his friend, Johnny Westbrooks; his caregiver, Jill Robertson; and to the nursing staff at Alamance Regional Medical Center and to the staff at the Hospice Home.
Memorials may be made to Hospice and Palliative Care of Alamance-Caswell, 914 Chapel Hill Road, Burlington, NC 27215.

I've known Steve for over 25 years. Steve portrayed a tough exterior but had a heart of gold.
I'm truly blessed that I had the opportunity to see him and talk to him just days before his passing. During this time I was able to get a grin out of him and I will treasure that moment forever.
Heather, please know that you are in our thoughts and prayers.
