Services for Burl James Huffman, Sr. will be 1:00 PM, Monday, March 6, 2017 at Baptist Mission, 2201 Melrose Street/Hwy. 107, Pineville, LA with Bro. Jim Thomasee and Rev. Willie Dunkley officiating. Visitation will be Sunday, March 5th from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Magnolia Funeral Home, Alexandria, LA and Monday March 6th at Baptist Mission from 10:00 AM until time of service. Interment will follow at Greenwood Cemetery, Pineville, LA under the direction of Magnolia Funeral Home, Alexandria, LA.

Burl James Huffman, Sr., 70, passed away Thursday, March 2, 2017 at Woods Haven Nursing Home, Pollock, LA.

He was preceded in death by parents, Willie Leon and Lorene Hickman Huffman; daughter, Patricia Huffman Stangle; grandson, Tucker Leon Cowgill and brother, Tommy Huffman.

He is survived by Melba S. Huffman, wife of 49 years; children, Burl J. Huffman Jr. (Suzanne) of West Monroe, LA, Pam H. Beason (Bart) of Bentonville, AR, H.L. Huffman of Pineville, LA, son-in-law, Jason Stangle of Dry Prong, brothers and sisters, Gerald Huffman (Jan) of Holloway, LA, Brenda H. Smith (Donnie) of Jena, LA, Carolyn H. Wiley (Rick) of Nebo, LA; sister-n-law, Linda F. Huffman of Bossier City, LA; grandchildren, Taylor and Regan Huffman, J.T., Ryan and Katie Cowgill, Deanna, B.J., Thomas, William and Gabby Beason, Brittan and Maggie Huffman and Jasie Stangle; great grandchildren, Landon Dre and Macie Lynn Cowgill and; a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and many friends as well as his special lifelong friend, W. E. Belgard.
